Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Kate Hudson, Lauren Conrad, and Lindsay Lohan. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.
Look 1: Kate Hudson’s Out-of-this-Galaxy Night Ensemble
Kate spotted going to dinner in London wearing a galaxy-printed t-shirt, tuxedo pants, and an oversize blazer, with some black booties and a black quilted shoulder bag.
To be honest, I don’t totally love the way the look was put together– the pants are a bit too baggy for my taste and the proportions seems a bit off. But, I saw a lot of potential in this look; maybe it’s because I am a sucker for anything with a galaxy print! The look below is an interpretation of Kate’s look which I think flatters the body a bit more.
Outfit Inspired by Kate

Leggings, Shirt, Blazer, Bag, Shoes
Taking a cue from Kate, start with a cool galaxy-printed long t-shirt– this one is sleeveless and should fit a bit loose. You could try pairing it with tuxedo pants (perhaps a tad more fitted than Kate’s), or for an easier and more accessible option, you could try pairing it with some leggings which have a sheen to them; the sheen gives you the ability to wear them on a night out (and since the top is long and loose, it should cover you enough in the back).
The boyfriend blazer brings the whole look together, and again, the longer length is perfect since you are wearing leggings. This small quilted cross-body bag is a cute substitute for Kate’s larger shoulder bag version– I’m loving the similar chain strap, the gold adds another touch of dressiness to the overall look. Finally, if you’d like to be a bit daring, try on a pair of adorable clogs – they’re ultra-hot this season.
Look 2: Lauren Conrad’s Girly-Meets-Tough Ensemble
Lauren Conrad always keeps her outfits very simple, and adds interest with standout accessories, as seen in this ensemble. Sporting a light pink strapless frock, a cropped leather motorcycle jacket, peep-toe black pumps, and a snakeskin clutch, she exhibits the perfect mix of girly-meets-tough.
On a night out, the majority of girls usually wear their hair down, but I really like the idea of creating a messy bun, similar to Lauren’s. It’s very chic (models always wear their hair in chignons), and is a lot more functional if you’re planning to work up a sweat on the dance floor!
Outfit Inspired by Lauren:

Dress, Jacket, Shoes, Necklace, Clutch
Plain, simple dresses like this one are awesome because they work like a canvas: you can use it to create hundreds of different looks, just by switching up the accessories.
In this case, the light pink dress is a cool contrast to the biker jacket, which is cropped, showing off your shape and acting more as an accessory than a jacket — by leaving it open, you can show off the gorgeous chain necklace. Finish the outfit off with some black open-toe heels and a clutch like this one, which has a snakeskin-esque trim, and you’ll look both edgy and understated at the same time.
Look 3: Lindsay Lohan’s Structured Jacket and Shorts
Lindsay Lohan was back out on the town this week, looking cute in a structured cropped pink jacket, a faintly tie-dyed t-shirt, black shorts, black pumps, and the Alexander Wang Rocco duffel bag which has incited lust in the hearts of almost every girl I know.
A few years back when Lindsay’s life was a little less– ahem– hectic, I always would look to her for fashion inspiration. While she hasn’t been the most inspiring lately, this outfit seems to be a step in the right direction! Mixing something free-spirited like tie-dye with something structured, like the blazer, is a unique, and surprisingly cute way to put a spin on simple black shorts.
Outfit Inspired by Lindsay:

Shirt, Shorts, Jacket, Shoes, Bag
This pink cropped jacket from Forever 21 is a great substitute for Lindsay’s, with perfectly structured lines. The shorts are perfect, too– they are not tight, but rather a tad roomy like Lindsay’s, and feature a cuffed hem. Next, as unexpected as it is, the tie-dye shirt looks cool when tucked into the shorts. Finally, add some black pumps and matching bag– I’ve chosen this quilted shoulder bag because has the appearance of a designer bag (we can’t all afford Wangs!) and keeps with the structured theme.
