Don’t Make Your Child Feel Responsible For Your Unhappiness

I’ve heard some dreadful responses from some parents when I put it to them that staying in a marriage for the sake of the children is better than leaving. Usually, such responses are dogmatic, self-serving and erroneous. The lamest response of all is this: “If a parent stays for the child’s sake the child will grow up feeling guilty.”
