APRYL S asked:

I would like to start a daycare facility but I dont know where to start. Do I have to attend some classes? Are there grants for people starting a daycare facility? What are the rules and regulations for starting a daycare? What is the first step I have to take?

the first thing you must check are the state laws in Maryland, procedures, safety and employee back round checks,
but do contact your government agencies…

You have several good questions. You will find that there will be many more questions to come. There are grants for people who want to start a daycare.

The site I list below has links on the home page to individual states licensing regulations. Also, click on the “how to start a daycare” link. What you need is a guide kit that will answer all your questions at once. Otherwise you will spend a lot of time researching this.

Once at the “how to start a daycare” page click on the link at the bottom for the starting a daycare center guide. This will provide you with everything you need.
