I am a childcare provider and that is why I chose this job...mainly to be with My children. Of cours I enjoy children so it was an easy choice.

I have worked at daycares in the past and they all pretty much work the same way. If you work there and you have children that need to go there, they usually give you half off. You don't get to be in the same room with your child cause that wouldn't be fair for the other children. I don't know if this helps you out.

Lots of mothers work at the day care their child attends. Sometimes they don't get completely free care for their child, but it is discounted quite a bit. Most of the time (unless it is a small establishment), your child will not be in your class room. As far as what the employers think of this...in my opinion, they wouldn't offer this service if they didn't think it was fair/right.

I was lucky enough to have 2 day care jobs that allowed me to work with my children and get paid. I loved it. I am not looking for a similar opportunity.
The first one was through the collage i attended to be an ECE teacher. they took kids 3 and up. my daughter had just turned 3 when i started school. It was great because I would go to work for 4 hours then class for 4 hours. I could visit her between classes and had 4 hours in the daycare with her.
The 2nd job Mandy was already in school. I worked for a daycare with my then 4 month old. I had the older children but on breaks I could go see my baby.
My baby is now 20 months old and i am looking to work in another daycare.

I worked at a daycare center when my children were younger so I could be with them. I didn't get free free childcare, but it did allow me to be with them and earn extra money at the same time.
