I live in Australia so I can’t give you a specific number answer, but hopefully this will help.
My Mother runs the same thing as you in her home. She decided on her fees by investigating all the child care places in the area, and charging the average cost. This ended up being the same as one particular centre so now she keeps her fees equal to theirs (i.e. when they have a fee increase, so does she). This keeps her competitively priced but still allows her to move her fees in line with inflation and funding changes.
    Good luck.

The yonger the child i would charge a bit more because the maintainace is more. What is the minumum wage there? I would be mindful of how much the person who is leaving the child to be taken care of is making. Some executives can afford bucks and some who make barely enough to get by should be a lot less. It almost sounds like discrimation but most people work on what is called a sliding scale according to the income they make. That is how i would charge anyway because some people have the money and some dont.

I agree with the answers that I have seen and especially want to point out that the lady who mentioned the sliding scale is exactly right. For high school I went to a private school that charged me 200 dollars a month. Now I know personally that I paid more than the mother who had 3 kids in the school and more than the mother who had one kid but worked as a waitress. It depends on the income.

I wish you luck in your indeavor and hope that it all works out for you.

When my son was still crawling I paid 320 for a month in TX.

    I would suggest for 6 months to 2 years, 90-95.00 a week, 2 1/2 years to 6 years, 80.00 a week.
