I have cleaning ladies come in for about 2 hours to clean a new home so I can have it baby ready when I give birth. I was wondering about the amount to tip these ladies for their services.

10 bucks is fine
No…..you are paying for the services!!!!! No tip is required.
You can use the same scale you would when tipping a waiter. 15% of the bill is standard, 20% if they do an excellent job.
Make sure you tip in cash so that they get your gratuity, not the company.
Tipping a housekeeper who cleans on a regular basis differs from a housekeeper who comes one time only. It is customary to tip either one. Since you used the word ladies let’s say you had two come in. If they were both equals than you will need to tip them seperately. If one was the boss and the other was her assistant than you need to tip the boss only and she will take care of her assistant. Here is the rule of thumb for hourly maid service that is not a regular member of your staff: Tip 20% for the first hour and 25% of that each additional hour. So if the housekeepers hourly fee is 20 dollars and hour than tip him/her 4 dollars for the first hour and 1 dollar each additional hour. So a five dollar tip is acceptable for two hours of work. If you housekeeper charges a flat rate than 10% of the rate is acceptable. Of course, if your housekeeper does an absolutely fantastic job rewarding them by tipping on the heavy side is always appreciated.
Hope this Helps!
No, I have a cleaning company and I never expect a tip, now if the ladies were full time w/ you, maybe a christmas gift, but a one time deal no way. The only way that you should give a tip is if the women went above and beyond the call of duty other then that you most likely paid a good bit of money already.
