I have hired a local carpet cleaning service to come clean my apartment and I was wondering whether I am supposed to tip them on top of paying the normal service rate.

I don’t believe in tipping. It’s obvious that any company or service is already making a profit so I believe a polite thank you will be fine!
no, you might spill the water back onto your carpet, duh.
No, the regular service rate should suffice.
No, you probably already paid them enough
Only if they do a super fantabulous job, other wise they are already making a huge profit because cleaning carpents isn’t too expensive. Just be nice and polite to them.
Depends on how satisfied you are. There is no need to, but if you like the work, couldn’t hurt.
No, they make you pay too much for the service anyways.
No….. tipping for this service is definitely not needed or expected.
Yes you should even if its not alot it just shows you appreciate the job they did. I clean homes for a living and work for a cleaning company we have a guy crew that does carpeting and windows.People do not realize what hard work cleaning homes and carpeting and different jobs like that can be.I know you pay to have the job done but the workers do not make that much trust me not half as much as people think.I still dont understand how someone can go into a restraunt and tip a waitress for waiting on them for an hour and not tip someone who takes 3 hrs cleaning there home even if its a couple dollars. Carpet cleaning is a service to you and it is a low paying job so if you can afford it please tip..
No, you shouldn’t – unless they do something extra or free for you – they are getting paid normal wages, not reduced wages + tips.
The technician who will be in your home is most likely being paid a fairly low hourly wage. The company is the one making the money. If they do a good job, and you can afford to, any tip is always appreciated.
Yes, as a token of “thank you” if they do a good job!
