1. Clean first thing in the morning when you still have the energy lol
2. Clean while listening to music, always makes it more fun
3. Buy Mr. Clean Magic Erasers….they are miracles!!!
The one thing I do that is tried and true….is to clean up while I am still in the room. In other words….when I get done brushing my teeth, I clean the bathroom sink. When I get done doing the dishes, I clean the counters and the sink. In the morning after everyone leaves and I am done using the bathroom, I scrub the toilet. When I leave a room, I make sure to sweep the floor. I just do what I can while I am still in one particular room and then it doesn’t have to be done at a later time.
Baking soda, vinegar, and salt can be combined to fix the following and much more:
vinegar + baking soda (let sit for 5-10 minutes)+ boiling water can unclog a drain
Baking soda + water made into a paste can be used to scour grout, tile, tub, sink, toilet, flooring – anything
Baking soda sprinkled on once wet now musty carpet and rubbed in will take the smell away
Crusty stuff at the bottom of a vase or jar can be cleaned by pouring in salt or salt and rice and shaken, then pour in hot vinegar, shake some more and it will come clean immediately
Cheap/costume -y jewelry can be polished with wheel/dash cleaner for a car to make it shine again
Keeping a spray bottle with 50% vinegar/50% water next to the bathtub and having everyone spray down the tub/tile after they shower can help keep mold and soapscum down and reduces cleaning time overall
Never dry dust, only wet dust with a damp cloth because otherwise you are just pushing dust around, and dust at least once every two weeks.
Sweep/mop once a week, especially around entries, and keep rugs at all the doors to collect dirt from people’s feet/shoes.
Airing mattresses outside in the sun once or twice a year(off the ground, make sure it doesn’t rain!) and airing bed linens monthly in addition to washing can make things really nice and clean and pleasant.
Using washing cloths instead of sponges is much more hygenic and environmentally friendly, just wash them on hot with everything else and hang them when not in use to dry – sunning them with everything else helps too.
Baking soda in the wash cycle of a washing machine can deodorize things better than most detergents.
Vinegar sprayed on windows, polished with crumpled newspaper that is at least a few months old leaves fewer streaks than other cleaners.
Using anti-freeze windshield wiper fluid on bathroom mirrors monthly helps them not fog up during/after showers.
In general decluttering and removing all carpet from a house goes a long way towards cleaning it and keeping it clean.
That’s all I can think of for now…
Never vacuum before you clean off the dining room table. then you will just have to vacuum again. ha ha ha
my son shoved a brand new shirt under his bed wet and it mildewed I used tilex mildew remover on it and it came right out didn’t even hurt the color although i always test it where u wont see it but i use it on all sorts of stains that other stuff wouldn’t even touch
Use wooden toothpics to get into the cracks and crevices of everything in your kitchen, from your stove to your counters and around the tight to get to places that a sponge or towel could never reach, you will be amazed.. at what you find and can get rid of.. Happy cleaning to you
borax will make chrome sparkle as well as get rid of limescale. Vinegar kills alot icky stuff as well as get rid of smells.
If you want to get burnt on stuff off a pot or pan, Just fill it with water & Boile the water on the stove. It will make the whole mess come right off. Works real well.
