I lost the wonderful recipe I had and can’t find any recipes that include (among other ingredients) chicken and ham. Unfortunately, I can no longer remember where I originally found this particular pumpkin soup recipe.

Are you sure you’re remembering the ingredients correctly? That sounds like a strange combination.

First you need to roast the pumkin in the oven on 400 for 45 minutes. Lightly oil the pumpkin and place on a cookie sheet skin side UP. While it’s roasting, put chicken stock in a soup pot on high heat and bring it to a boil. Add 2 bay leaves, salt, pepper and cilantro. Add your pealed and cut to chuck chicken and ham. Cook until they are almost cooked through. Add in your pumpkin, some potato, carrots and celery. Lower the heat to medium low and simmer for about an hour. Add more salt and pepper to taste. Take out the bay leaves and serve HOT. UMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
